...anyway....

it's the eve of aidil adha n its 230am n im still not asleep.. cause i dun feel like sleeping.
thus, lemme share with you a very light-hearted post, inspired by one of the Korean Drama shows that i watched, My Lovely Sam Soon...

An excerpt from ‘my lovely sam soon’....

Why some girls are unattached…

1.Good men are ugly-looking
2. cute guys have lousy personalities.
3. cute guys with good character are married.
4. cute guys, with good character who is single is poor.
5. cute guys, with good character who is single and is rich are not interested in ‘us’ (referring to the bunch of girls in the show).
6. cute guys, with good character who is single, is rich and is interested in ‘us’, are players.
7. cute guys, with good character who is single, is rich, is interested in ‘us’ and are not players are gays (correction: BISEXUAL).

And this is what I’d like to add:

Cute guys, with good character, is single, rich, heterosexual… are those whom we sometimes just dun give.... a damn... hee...

....contd.. 2

went to Batam the day after.. no, i didnt go there for some sleazy activities. contrary to that, it was a quick weekend getaway for the whole family.

we didnt do much.. except for... visiting some places such as a keropok shop which was nearby to this shop selling dvds at a very low price of S$2... so tunggu ape lagi... my siblings n cousins grabbed the opportunity to buy lotsa DVDs and PS2 games... needless to say, the dvd quality was horrible, as compared to the ps2 games.

apart from the uhhh.. illegal shopping, the family got a chance to unwind at Turi Beach Resort, which had a superb view of the sea.... but... our villas were located at the top of the hill/ slope and it was kinda inaccessible to the swimming pool and a dread for my grandparents.. but the good thing was, as quoted by my uncle, since our rooms were at a higher elevation than the rest of the villas, we would be pretty safe..... if a tsunami were to hit the area.(err... it's supposed to be funny but uhhh im nt in the mood to funni-size it? *shrugs*).

anw.. my sis n I spotted a monkey outside our room. it was happily throwing things into our balcony from its mouth.... n dear haziq was just super excited that it was there.. whereas us girls were quickly shutting the sliding doors..
so on that saturday, we let time pass by having a swim in the pool n that was when it hit me that i really dono how to swim.. except.... backfloating............. n my swimming attire made me look like a ninja... haha.. cause i was wearing the muslimah swimwear, siap dengn hood dier sekali.. i was THE polar opposite of those bikini-clad gals at the pool. whatever... at least i still get to maintain my chastity mah.....
goodness this post is starting to sound like a primary school compo, u know the ones where teachers asked their students to write about their hols... blah blah... ahhh whateverlah, im in the mood to rant, so ranting it shall be. so anw.. we got to play pool, foosball and darts. n my uncle was damn good at foosball lah.. he beat my team (which consist of me n my bro) 10-4!! and twice at it! but thats ok, we must respect the elders mah... so being the oh so filial niece n newphew, we gave in. twice. hehe...

but anw... i got really excited when i hit... BULLSEYE while playing darts!! yay!! i was so happy, i screamed. pathetic.. yeah i know. im a sucker for cheap thrills. but it was a BULLSEYE! haha.. another uncle joked i could join the Asian Games in darts or smtg. haha.. imagine if i were that good huh, and walk away with some prize... i promise i'll treat evvveerrryyyoonnneee.

that night, we had karaoke session!! haha.. no i didnt sing a song.. im very shy with mics. really!! n so, among my family members, there was a siti nurhaliza yg tak jadi (my aunt), a toni braxton whose voice cracked in the middle of unbreak my heart(my sis) and aspiring singers who are more than ready to join the next singapore idol. it was fun.. n funny..so funny i almost jumped off the seat n roll on the floor. u guys should gather all ur family members for a karaoke session n u'll know what i mean.

the next day, we all went to war.

we went for a game of PAINTBALL!!!! jungle-style.hahah..not all went though. but it was definitely enough to form to teams of 5. i was on one of the teams.. as seen below.

and look at me! my uncle called me jordan for this! hahah..said i looked like a soldier from the middle-east. ahah.. jordan seh.. hahaha.. but anw, the game was played ala elimination, which means that u'll have to leave the 'war zone' if ure hit. i was so scared of that.. i actually hid behind a board and shoot randomly.. cause i couldnt see anyone! they all looked like trees! wahhh kalau gini, confirm i cannot join the army or smtg.. not that i intend to anw. because number 1)id prob be killed in less than a sec. thanks to my blurness. 2) my country would suffer a great defeat from incapable soldiers like me. so yeah,im better off defending the economy via other means...

anw.. my team's strategy, as quoted by my DAD, was to.. 'kiter hit yg tua-tua dulu! so nanti diorang semua jadi gabrah', seeing that the 'enemy' had 2 adults.. n 3 kids aged 9-16. haha. my uncle then specifically instructed me to... "ok, kau.......... pergi belakang barrel kat situ n STAY there. shoot from there ok?". yeah, that was the strategy. to guard the 'base' while my other team mates (bro, sis, dad, uncle) rolled on the forest floor (my dad did that anw)to avoid the 'enemy' and go solo to take down the enemy (my bro). nevertheless, walaupun diriku ini tidak berguna... my team won!!! yayyyyyyy!!!! n while hiding behind the barrels, i got attacked by buzzing enemies... mosquitoes. they sucked the blood out from me! 15 bites per hand! yes i counted! cause it was itchy. very itchy!!

but all got better after the paintball n we did a very last minute shopping before leaving for singapore. managed to grab myself a Rusty bag, turqoise in colour.
so yup, that was my batam trip with my family. no sleaze. just.. some family fun. :)

bismillah.

considering that the exams are over, i should have been updating this blog. but honestly, i have been bumming ard too much with korean dramas and whatever stuff, that i reeeaallly din feel lyk posting anything. but, let's just cut to the chase! im back n im bloggin'!

so here's a quick review of how my dec hols have been. (well, its gonna be a long story.)

1. kickstarted the dec hols (8th dec) with a trip to the subordinate court. my offense? a weird interest as to how the courts in singapore look like, and a wonder as to how trials are carried out.

in all seriosuness, i was actually asked by a friend to go for a family day at the courts. so i agreed to it.. n so, me n my friends n all other family members of those working at the court, visited one court after another... the participants were encouraged to ask question and this one kid, keep asking questions, n getting m & m's (which was the reward for posing a qn). while i didnt get any, cause i didnt ask any qns, but instead, walked away with a post-it notepad. :P

the family day ended with a free bumboat ride down the singapore river. pity i didnt have my camera with me, or else i would have snapped some pics. n how i wished it was a cruise at night instead of a 6.00pm cruise cause then the sight would have been more aesthetically pleasing i guess.

so anw, after the trip, my friends n i went to watch a jazz/ 'funky' (the singer said smtg like 'tonight we're gonna play a bit of smtg n a bit of funky for you...') music show at the open area near the esplanade. and mind you, these friends of mine are wayyyyy beyond their teen years... haha... they already have kids OUR age. haha.. but.. they are 'groovy' enough to enjoy such music. haha.. but yeah, the performer sang her songs nice. though she didnt sing much cause the type of music is more about the instruments (the piano, the cello thing (i think its called the bass?))

n on that day, i also made a friend with this ten year old gal, who was my friend's niece. n as i talked to her, she found out that i was from nus.. n she went.. 'waaahhh'. n then she wondered if she'll ever get to go to uni. 'u will, if u work hard enought for it' i replied. but really, sumtyms, i think we take for granted that we are undergrads.

i rmr-ed the time when i was ard 9 and had to follow my family to my uncle's dorm at ntu.. u know, just to help him move his things. i rmr-ed how happy he looked, or how proud my grandparents were for my uncle to get into uni. i was proud of him too.. even though we fight n bicker almost every single time. he gets on my nerves up to this day but oh well, that's part n parcel of life isnt it?

so yeah, bottom line, is.. i couldnt be more thankful for having a place in uni.. alhamdulillah....

i think we are all very thankful for that privilege.. n i hope we wont waste our chance, yeah? so work hard ppl.. n for those who have gotten or waiting for their exam results, :D regardless of whether it's gd or not, rmr that we're in uni not just for the grades, but for the knowledge too! n that itself, the quest for knowledge, is an ibadah for us. so continue working hard!!
i pray that Allah will continue to increase our knowledge and help us use it in ways that Allah will be pleased with. Amin. :)
